Job Summary:

REMA TIP TOP / North America Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Service Center Manager to join our team. The Service Center Manager will be responsible for managing the operation of our E. Windsor, CT branch location and will be responsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction in the quality of all products and services that includes conveyor belts, industrial and hydraulic hoses and fittings, power transmission belting, and related industrial rubber and plastics products. Service and fabrications are important functions provided by the East Windsor, CT branch.

Job Duties:
  • Manage and lead branch operations safely, efficiently, and in line with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Develop sales strategy and maintain direct sales responsibility for key accounts.
  • Supervise a team of sales and service technicians.
  • Organize job scheduling and maximize productivity at all levels.
  • Comply with all company safety procedures and regulations, always reinforce the importance of safety, complete required documentation, and maintain an organized and safe work environment.
  • Keep organized records of all shop activities.
  • Coordinate shop administrative duties with operations and general management teams.
  • Deliver products and services on time and on schedule.
  • Manage inventory on all products, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Accurately plan and assign staff according to workloads, customer demands and staff skill levels.
  • Oversee technician education and training and assess further needs.
  • Monitor employee work performance.
  • Make recommendations for staffing changes and initiate resource sharing as necessary and make recommendations for hiring new employees.
  • Supervise employees; conduct routine performance evaluations, and recommend corrective and/or disciplinary action when appropriate and document employee performance and incidents.
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and to their full satisfaction.
  • Develop positive customer relationships and always strive for the highest customer satisfaction for our products and services.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred but equivalent background is acceptable, and 5+ years’ experience in management, sales, or service, of industrial or material handling products and services.
  • Understanding and knowledge of industrial markets, applications of rubber and plastics in these markets, and a mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Experience and proficiency in working with MS Office, CRM, and business computer applications.
  • A valid driver's license.
